We want to develop the career development at our school

There is no question that job creation and entrepreneurship are the most vital goals of education in South Africa, yet efforts to develop these in schools remain limited.This reflects in the fact that with a 26% unemployment rate we are scoring as badly as 41 out of 43 in certain categories of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor. There is no way that you can develop an innovation and entrepreneurial mindset by having "Entrepreneurship Day" or "Innovation Day". Elixir believes that in South Africa, the career development program of any school has to use the entreprenuerial mindset as the foundation of any career development process.

I want to develop a leadership program within our institution

Developing leadership within schools is critical to the development of the individual and all the stakeholders within a school community.As always, the greatest source of leadership is the vocational aspirations of young people. The degree to which a school can channel the passions, values and abilities of students into campaigns and projects that develop a community holistically, will determine the degree to which to capitalises on the true potential of it's students body. Elixir offers schools leadership catalyst programs where we integrate the students, student leadership, teachers, parents and industry/community role players into a synergistic leadership program.

Life skill development is the cornerstone of a well rounded individual. As you seek to develop your students, you may seek to enhance your programs ability to gain attention, develop awareness and positively influence behavioural change. At Elixir we offer Nature based development experiences that engage students around key life principles while exploring decisions around career, lifestyle and interpersonal relationships. Coaching and facilitation is used to maximise experiential learning and the level to which students take ownership of these issues.

Effective drug and alcohol awareness intervention

Drug and alcohol abuse remains a huge challenge facing the development of our youth. No matter how hard the police or education institutions try, the supply of drugs will always be a reality and reducing demand is the only solution to the problem. Scare tactics around the dangers of drugs do not always work and in some cases fuel the level of denial that students experience. At Elixir we believe that offering youth an empowering vision and a positive alternative to drugs is the best way of facilitating change. Elixir has established a nature based development experience where students are engaged by a recovered addict and alcoholic who uses wilderness guiding and group facilitation to engage children around their life purpose and the impact drug and alcohol abuse has on their ability to realise it.
