VISION

To be regarded as the world leader in developing purpose driven individuals and organisations!

PURPOSE

To offer coaching and facilitation support at the key stages of personal and organisationl development.

Leadership Incubator

The leadership Incubator is a catalyst for developing leadership within a school. It is designed such that it can be adapted to fit in with the curricular and time requirements of schools while engaging the relevant stakeholders in the process. The program itself can be custom designed to meet the specific needs of schools yet ultimately seeks to facilitate the following outcomes.

  • Align the attitudes of all students and teachers with the values, principles and standards of the school.
  • Cultivate a culture of learning where each student appreciates every experience as an opportunity for personal development.
  • Developing an entrepreneurial and innovation mindset. These critical skills and attitudes are vital in adding value to society which is the precursor to being placed in or developing a competitive enterprise. Students are no longer guaranteed careers, even with quality tertiary educations. In spite of this they need to be flexible, adaptive and resilient in the ever changing and turbulent global economy.
  • The intervention has to be performance based and must be managed over time. The key benchmarks that represent success in leadership must be incorporated into the holistic appraisal procedures of teachers, student leadership and the students themselves.
  • The process must merge vocation development with leadership development. Vocation development is the journey where people develop careers or business that support their unique passions, values and abilities such that they feel a sense of purpose through adding value to society.

The Leadership Incubator involves engaging various levels of the organisation and giving them the skills, attitudes and systems required to develop and implement a holistic and integrated leadership development program.

  • Normal Students

They make up the majority of the school body and represent the students that have the greatest opportunity and faculties to start demonstrating leadership through developing their self awareness around personal passions, values and abilities while identifying opportunities for purpose driven contribution. Groups of young people that share similar values around personal and community development will collaborate on leadership projects while the teachers, student leaders and parents will be given systems that they can use can use to evaluate and support their growth.

  • The Student Leadership

These are a group of students that are keen to take a leadership role in a specific area or who have been identified by parents, teachers or other boys as young people who demonstrate leadership. They require a far deeper engagement process as they are the critical facilitators of the process and a vital link between the students and the various support structures in the school. They will need to be engaged in a personal leadership process to ensure that each person is committed to their role and the responsibility that it brings, together with collaborating with all other stakeholders to develop clear goals and strategies for driving leadership within the school and the surrounding community. Core skill developments are based around seeing through ideas from conceptualisation to implementation and understanding how to influence a wide variety of people to move towards a common vision.

  • Teachers

Having most of the access to the students they have the greatest opportunity to provide consistent skills and to cultivate the attitudes that support an innovation and entrepreneurial culture, the core basis of the leadership intervention. The core focus is around complimenting teachers skills of educating with the skills required to coach while re-engaging each teacher with the sense of purpose that makes them the most resourceful leaders of learning.

  • Student support, counselling staff, school management and parents

The key focus of this intervention is to leverage of a student’s vocation development and aspirations to inspire personal leadership. The support staff and parents are essentially the glue that holds a student’s holistic development process together to ensure that students are engaged in a proactive fashion around their leadership. As support staff their role is to constantly create line of sight between a student’s authentic personal vision and their responsibilities at school, home and in the community. They too require an effective understanding of coaching and what engages young people while developing effective systems that will hold the process over time.

Key Benefits of the process

  • All processes are coaching based such that it facilitates each person to link these important leadership behaviours with their personal vision and values such that they are engaged and understand their purpose and benefit.
  • The process raises young people’s awareness around the role of learning in personal fulfilment such that students can make better choices when responding to new opportunities for growth.
  • The leadership process is built on a platform of developing an innovation and entrepreneurship mindset in each individual such that value can be created for the school, community and each individual.
  • Being performance based it ensures that the program focuses on working towards key performance indicators of leadership and working towards specific benchmarks. These include general academic performance, society development, community outreach statistics, student drivn fund raising etc.
